Dinesh Upreti
Regional Manager, NEWAH, Mid & Far -Western Regional Office (MFWRO)
Dinesh Upreti has been recently appointed as a regional manager. He represents the regional office in planning, implementing, monitoring of projects and its overall management together in a team and in close coordination and partnership with GO/ local NGOs/ CBOs. Mobilising professional staffs for feasibility study and baseline survey, project proposal writing and reporting as per donor requirement is also some of his main responsibilities. He also ensures transparency and accountability of all financial transactions at the regional office level. Mobilising professional staffs for achieving organisational goals and identifying and managing capacity development of implementing partners, community people & NEWAH Regional staff also fall under his main responsibilities.
Background
Upreti has a Masters Degree of Business Administration from Tribhuvan University. He has over eleven years experience in the field of water, health and sanitation sector. He has worked three regional office of NEWAH out of 5. His experience includes planning and management of programmes and facilitation of community and middle level WASH sector management trainings especially to users group, community, staff and partner NGOs. Trainings and experience gained in WATSAN field mainly include community mobilization and management, saving and credit group promotion, gender and social inclusion, capacity building, report writing, planning, budgeting, project management, leadership, communication skill participatory monitoring & evaluation and conflict management. He has visited India, Bangladesh, Nederland, Belgium and France

- He has participated in various in country trainings / workshops organised by different organisations
- One month training in Project and Program Management and Administration training in Netherland
- Team leader on ADB PPTA assignment.
