Key activities
Mr. Shrestha is responsible to manage planning, monitoring and evaluation of all NEWAH’s program at HQ and regional level and integrate PME data into NEWAH project management information system (PMIS). His responsibilities include
establishing planning, monitoring and evaluation system across all NEWAH programs, formulating or reviewing planning, monitoring & evaluation policy, procedure and guideline. He ensures PMIS operation, information and data requirements for project planning, implementation and completion, and supervises and manages PME and data management staff in HQ. Linking NEWAH PME activities with the sector and coordinating NEWAH related evaluation or assessment work from NEWAH's side is also part of his job responsibility.

Background
Mr. Shrestha has a Masters in Economics & Sociology from Tribhuwan University, Kathmandu. He entered into the WATSAN sector as a technical supervisor for the WaterAid/ADB-N UNICEF Water and Sanitation project in 1991. After the formation of NEWAH in 1992, he has been working in the organization in different portfolios; technical officer, program support & maintenance officer, new initiative manager and PME manager. He is one of the SMT members in NEWAH as well as focal person for EU granted VCP projects of NEWAH. Shrestha is a development activist, who especially promotes participatory community development approach. He is also a life member of Nepan Participatory Action Network (Nepan) and associated with micro credit & cooperative initiatives.
