Key activities
Krishna Mani Adhikary is responsible for overall financial management of NEWAH. The core activities involve fund request and release to NEWAH regional offices, and financial / management reporting to different donors. His other key tasks are overseeing the preparation of the budget sheet, its planning and compilation, development and compliance of the financial policy, rules and regulation, establishing linkage and coordination between NEWAH & funding partners, carrying out external audit and advising the deputy director and regional managers on financial management aspects.
Background
Adhikary with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Tribhuvan University (TU), Kathmandu, Nepal is a registered auditor (RA) B class in the Institute of Chartered Accountants Nepal (ICAN).
Krishna's experience in the finance field goes beyond 26 years working for the Nepal Transport Corporation, Social Welfare Council, WaterAid Nepal as a Finance Officer and he has been with NEWAH as a Finance Manager for the past 13 years. Having worked in different capacities and for different organisations to improve their financial systems has allowed him to gain tremendous experience related to overall financial and management accounting aspects, financial reporting, maintaining donor relationship and good inter personal relationship among different disciplines.
