Key activities
Silwal is responsible for overall management of the regional team. The team's work involves planning, implementing, monitoring & evaluating of drinking water, health and sanitation projects in close coordination and partnership with GOs, local NGOs and CBOs. He also ensures transparency and accountability of all financial transactions at the regional office level. Mobilising professional staffs for achieving organisational goals and identifying and managing capacity development of implementing partners, community people & NEWAH Regional staff also fall under his main responsibilities.
Background
Pursuing a Masters of Business Studies from Tribhuvan University, Nepal Kumar has a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Engineering Central Campus, Pulchowk, Nepal.
He has over ten years of experience in the field of water, health and sanitation sector and has worked with different organisations like District Development Committee (DDC) Dhading, Nepal Red Cross Society, Pokhara and Khayarmara community Development Project, Mahottari. Silwal has traveled to more than 50 districts of Nepal and visited India & Pakistan.
