NEWAH conducts a large number of WASH activities each year. We generate a wide range of information, the dissemination of which can help expand WASH knowledge base and support research and development in Nepal’s WASH sector.

Generally, Research and Development in the WASH sector is lagging behind both in NEWAH as well as in national context. As technological innovations in research and development in WASH can help to introduce appropriate technologies in the hard-to-reach areas, NEWAH regularly pilots such new technologies. To document the lessons and experiences gathered through project activities through research is important to be able to replicate the learnings in future works.
